LUXURY IS IN EACH DETAIL

In AYCO Engineering we produce accurate shop drawings using CAD (computer-aided design) technologies to help our clients cut fieldwork costs and be confident that all the assemblies come together precisely at the job site. Our creative detailers even go one step further and develop more practical solutions in challenging design situations in coordination with the architect and structural engineer of the project.

Our Process:

We allocate a project engineer for each project to have the best coordination between

Detailers, checkers, project engineers, architects, and general contractors. In the process of fabrication and erection, our team can visit the shop and project site to make sure the construction is going in the right direction.

In order to have high-quality fabrication and erection drawings for any steel structure we perform the following steps:

  • Review project specifications and construction documents to determine project requirements, design parameters, and scope of work.

  • Create a detailed 3D model of the steel structure using Advance Steel, including all beams, columns, braces, connections, and other steel components.

  • Generate 2D drawings from the 3D model using both Advance steel and Autocad that provide precise information on dimensions, materials, and connections.

  • Create bills of materials and lists of all the materials needed for the project, including the types and sizes of steel beams, plates, bolts, and other components.

  • Our checkers verify all drawings and bills of materials for accuracy and completeness, to make sure they are consistent with architectural and structural drawings.

  • We coordinate with the project team, including engineers, architects, contractors, and fabricators, to ensure all design requirements are met and any conflicts or issues are resolved.

  • Transmit final drawings and bills of materials to the steel fabricator and erector for use in the fabrication and construction of the structure.

  • Coordinate with the steel fabs and their staff to clarify any comments or concerns they have, either by phone, video call, or in the shop, in case the shop is located in the Los Angeles greater area.

By adopting these practices and utilizing technology, it is possible to minimize the amount of fieldwork required in steel projects, resulting in a more efficient and cost-effective construction process.

Benefits of Local Steel Detailers

We have a team of steel detailers who are local and there are great benefits to having local steel detailers on your side:

  • Familiarity with local building codes: Local steel detailers are familiar with the building codes in your area. They understand the requirements for the design, engineering, and construction of steel structures in the United States and specifically in Southern California. This knowledge can help ensure that your project meets all the necessary safety and building standards.

  • Quick response time: Local steel detailers can provide a faster response time than those located further away. They are more accessible and can provide prompt attention to any issues or concerns that arise during the project. You can directly to them and have them visit your shop if needed.

  • Cost savings: Hiring local steel detailers can often result in cost savings.

  • Personalized service: Local steel detailers can provide personalized service since they are working closely with you on your project. They can visit the shop or project site in person, collaborate with you on design ideas, and tailor their services to meet your specific needs.

  • Supporting local businesses: By working with local steel detailers, you are supporting the local economy and helping to create jobs in our community. This can have a positive impact and enhance your reputation as a socially responsible business.
